Floor plan is not showing in the dashboard

  1. Check that an image was uploaded. In the Forager app, go to Manage Locations, find the floor node, and confirm a floor plan image is attached.
  2. PDF files show a room list, not a map. The interactive pin view requires a JPEG or PNG. If you uploaded a PDF, convert it to an image and re-upload.
  3. Signed URL may have expired. Refresh the dashboard page. Floor plan images load via a 1-hour signed URL — if you left the tab open for a long time, reload to get a fresh URL.

Pins are misaligned after replacing the floor plan

When a floor plan image is replaced, the room pin positions (recorded as fractions of the original image dimensions) may no longer match the new image if it has a different scale, rotation, or crop. Fix using the calibration flow:
1

Do not delete the old floor plan first

The calibration flow needs the old image as a reference. If the old image is still attached, Forager will offer a calibration step automatically when you tap the upload button.
2

Tap the floor plan upload button

In Manage Locations, tap the floor plan icon on the floor node. If positioned rooms exist, you will see a “Replace Floor Plan?” warning. Tap Continue.
3

Tap two reference points on the old image

The calibration screen shows the current floor plan. Tap two points you can identify on both the old and new image — room corners, door frames, or landmarks work well.
4

Select the new image and tap the same two points

Pick the new image from your device. Tap the same two reference points on the new image.
5

Review the preview and confirm

The app shows a preview of the transformed pin positions over the new image. If they look correct, tap Confirm.

Deleted the old floor plan before calibrating

If the old image was deleted before running calibration, the reference is gone and automatic pin alignment is not possible. When you upload a new floor plan, the app will show a “Room Positions May Be Stale” warning. Tap Upload Anyway, then re-pin each room manually using the floor plan survey tap-to-pin flow.

Floor plan image looks blurry or low quality

Floor plans render best at 2000px or wider on the longest side. If the image looks blurry at full scale, upload a higher-resolution export of the floor plan.

Rooms not appearing on the floor plan

Rooms only appear as pins if they have been pinned on the floor plan. Open Survey Mode, select the floor, and use the tap-to-pin interface to place each room. Rooms that have been created in the location hierarchy but not yet pinned appear in the “Rooms without map position” list below the floor plan in the dashboard.
